For those of you wondering, this little gray poof helping me nurse the kittens is Wasabi. She came to me about 2 months ago, dropped off at the clinic by a woman whose dogs killed the rest of the litter and possibly the mother. She was feral and terrified and loaded with fleas. The doctor (another cat lady!) and I worked on her for an hour and stopped counting after 60 fleas squished.
As you can see, she’s now very social and sweet. I originally called her Wasabi because she was a little spicy, and it still fits. Currently she is chasing my 14 year old cat around the house and jumping on my guitar case. She’s going to make someone a good cat, I think, but I’m specifying a no-dog home. The sound of dogs on television freak her out badly. Go figure, right?
